Environmental Awareness Ads.

Can humans be without environment?
When did we become so self-centered in our process to be on the top of the world that we stopped caring for the environment? We are responsible for our environment. Why should there be ads that are supposed to remind us to preserve, conserve & protect the environment, save the planet, save the tree, stop global warming, save the world?
Isn't the environment our own responsibility? When we know that we can't live without it, then why is that we aren't able to take the corrective actions at the right time.
We are responsible for giving a good future & a healthy environment to our coming generations. Do we want to give them global warming, a few stretches of land with trees & call it a forest, & all?
Thinking of these ads; did anyone even come across any ad or ads which asks us to breathe?
But there are many attempts & campaigns seeking help to let the air be clean so that we can 'breathe'.
Here are a few ads that are again trying to get the attention of the world towards environment.

Don't let this be our future. Save our rainforest, stop global warming.

Don't let this be our future. Save our rainforest, stop global warming. "Don't let this be our future. Save our rainforest, stop global warming."
(Thanks Liviu for sending this tip).

Solar Powered Tent

If your are among those who love camping in the wild, then this is something for you: Solar Powered Tent.

"Camping can be quite a dark experience because once the sun sets, you'll have nothing to light you by but your campfire and tent light…but wouldn't it be nice if you could have a tent that is solar powered and lights up by itself?"

This tent costs about $230 & has an 8 hour battery power to it. Solar LED panel gets recharged by day and kept inside the tent for nighttime illumination.

So what more, now you can chat & enjoy while the sun sets down & you got your very own nighttime illumination.
Happy camping. Don't forget to pack your regular torch just in case of a bad weather.

Solar-Powered Outdoor Lighting System: Corona

Solar-powered outdoor lighting system by Corona. So what is this all about? It's "Rethink outdoor lighting".

"Corona is a solar-powered outdoor lighting system. It can be attached to a wall, or simply placed on a tabletop.

The Corona solar light's solar voltaic cell transforms sunlight into energy during the day, and its LEDs automatically start to glow when the sun sets. It uses no glues or fasteners, making it simple to disassemble for recycling.

Product of our environment.
One of the most enchanting hotels in California - The Viceroy - was our muse. These photos are from the room where our brainstorm started.... space.... mood.... decoration.... sun.... SOLAR! LIGHT!

The dish & flower metaphor was a natural direction for a solar-powered and outdoor product. We wanted the design to show off and celebrate the technology yet let it to blend into the outdoor environment."

1. Car That Runs On Air

Car That Runs On AirA car which run on compressed air? MiniCAT & CityCAT are the creations of MDI Group.
"How does it work?
MDI explains that 90m3 of compressed air is stored in fibre tanks. The engine is powered by compressed air, stored in a carbon-fiber tank at 30 MPa (4500 psi). The tank is made of carbon-fiber in order to reduce its weight.
It has a fibre glass body which makes it a light & a silent car, which can reach a top speed of 220 km/h. Apart from this, here you don't have your regular speed gauges, instead there is a small computer screen which gives you all the information of speed & engine revo1utions. There is no more need to carry a key, instead you have an access card that can be read by the car from your pocket.

Solar Light More Reasonable & Can Reduce Your Electric Bills

We have been searching for an option to channel sun's light into the building using mirrors for quite a bit of time now. But what we found were using optic fibers & so on which was not reasonable for personal purposes.
Other problems we had were:
Will the deflection of sun's light using a mirror causes any negative effect on eyes or any other health related issue.
The second problem was how to manually change the mirror's position to get sun's light as every few second the sun's angle changes & the mirror has to be realigned.
Now we found a solution for this:

Solar Light More Reasonable & Can Reduce Your Electric Bills
And we found the solution. Now using this you can get sunlight in the depth of your house for the whole day long.

Energy Savings Tips

Here are some energy saving tips which can make a remarkable reduction in your energy bill:

Heating and cooling account for about 56% of the energy use in a typical U.S. home, making it the largest energy expense for most homes. A wide variety of technologies are available for heating and cooling your home, and they achieve a wide range of efficiencies in converting their energy sources into useful heat or cool air for your home.

When looking for ways to save energy in your home, be sure to think about not only improving your existing heating and cooling system, but also consider the energy efficiency of the supporting equipment and the possibility of either adding supplementary sources of heating or cooling or simply replacing your system altogether.

1: Place heat-resistant radiator reflectors between exterior walls and the radiators.
2: Release trapped air from hot-water radiators once or twice a season; if in doubt about how to perform this task, call a professional.
3: Clean warm-air registers, baseboard heaters, and radiators as needed; make sure they're not blocked by furniture, carpeting, or drapes.
4: Clean or replace filters on furnaces once a month or as needed.
5: Turn off kitchen, bath, and other ventilating fans within 20 minutes after you are done cooking or bathing to retain heated air.
6: Insulate your hot water heater and hot water pipes to prevent heatloss.
7: Insulate heating ducts in unheated areas such as attics and crawlspaces and keep them in good repair to prevent heat loss of up to 60 percent at the registers.
8: Use fans during the summer to create a wind chill effect that will make your home more comfortable. If you use air conditioning, a ceiling fan will allow you to raise the thermostat setting about 4°F with no reduction in comfort.
9: Turn off kitchen, bath, and other ventilating fans within 20 minutes after you are done cooking or bathing to retain heated air.
10: Install a programmable thermostat that can be adjust the temperature according to your schedule.
11: ENERGYSTAR labeled products can cut your energy bills by up to 30 percent. Find retailers near you at http://www.energystar.gov/ when you're ready to replace your heating and cooling systems - as well as appliances, lighting, windows, office equipment, and home electronics.
12: Your contractor should be able to give you energy fact sheets for different types, models, and designs to help you compare energy usage. For furnaces, look for high Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) ratings. The national minimum is 78% AFUE, but there are ENERGYSTAR models on the market that exceed 90% AFUE.
Heating can account for almost half of the average family's winter energy bill. Make sure your furnace or heat pump receives professional maintenance each year. Look for the ENERGYSTAR label when replacing your system.
