Food Art.

Food Art.

It looks so yummy, almost too nice to eat. When food is going to look like work of art, then what are we supposed to eat? Sakurako Kitsa photographed the 'Food Art' before someone munched it off. We got it here with fabulous & humorous precision.

Flower Art.

Artist Elsa Mora created this beautiful creation called the 'Flower Girls'. Well if one has lots of talent & creativity, then perhaps it doesn't make much of a difference what material one uses to show it.

American Consumption Art.

This is some of the best piece of artwork we came across for a while now & its by Jordan. Its really a beauty in which Jordan expressed so artistically the dry statistics by way of art which is sure to make a mark in the minds of the viewers. His underlying wish is to emphasize the role of the individual in a society that is increasingly enormous, incomprehensible, & overwhelming.
To see the real beauty of this artwork you need to click & enlarge the images but we still feel what Jordan has stated holds much more weight: "this series is that the prints must be seen in person to be experienced the way they are intended. As with any large artwork, their scale carries a vital part of their substance which is lost in these little web images..................."
Jordan says "………………….. when we reflect on a difficult question in the absence of an answer, our attention can turn inward, and in that space may exist the possibility of some evolution of thought or action. So my hope is that these photographs can serve as portals to a kind of cultural self-inquiry……….."

"Tagged in Motion" is a project that shows the innovative advances in graffiti art without a graffer canvas of a solid matter & expand the artist's canvas. Its a project created by graffiti artist DAIM, that unveils the ability to be able to tag in mid air, creating a virtual world of graffiti visible trough 3D glasses. Using cameras using motion recording, a pair of video glasses & a Bluetooth controller artists are able to create floating 3D graffiti in space.

Coffee Art.

Here is something where you can draw, write, give form by just pouring milk in your favorite drink - "Latte art or Coffee art".
These are designs created by Barista on the top espresso based drinks. There are two ways to create these designs & at times a combination of both are used. In the first method drawing designs are created using stencils, powders & milk foam. And the second method is by adjusting the flow of milk from a jug into the espresso.
If you like it why don't you give it a try & make a special cup for self!

Skin Art.

This is what one can do by sheer presence of mind & will power. Don't get confused, there is no mix up in writing. Then why perhaps are we talking about philosophy in art? Because there is a very strong reason for this: Ariana Page Russell a very special lady who has proved what we stated to be true & each word of it. This lady has a skin condition which even when lightly scratched cause the skin to redden & raised. And she didn't let this pass; instead she turned it into a unique artistic opportunity & uses this condition to create patterns on her skin.

Japanese Bamboo Art.

The moment one talks about bamboo art, one thing that comes to mind is 'Asia' - where it has been used since ancient times in paintings, scrolls, pottery, & various other art forms. Though for sometime now, Western artists & craftsmen are recognizing bamboo as a "new" material & are working to bring its artistic & sustainable value to the people.
Here we have some bamboo art by Japanese artists presented by TAI Gallery / Textile Arts which represents over 30 Japanese bamboo artists. Check out their amazing work of art!

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 1This one is created by Minoura -
"Bamboo has a certain tenderness, a breathing quality, when you weave it and pattern it, light passes through it; it is transparent and solid at the same time. It also retains the qualities it has in nature - flexibility and strength."

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 2Created by Yamaguchi.

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 3This one is by Morigami.

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 4Abe created this one.

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 5And this one is by Fujinuma Noboru - "What is art? What is the criteria for art?," he muses. "Not many people in Japan can answer this question clearly. For me, art is not just about the surface. It's something invisible that speaks to the viewer."

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 6This one is by Kawano.

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 7And this is the creation of
Kajiwara - the first & only female bamboo artist to become a full member of the Japan Craft Arts Association.

Japanese Bamboo Art (14) 8This one come from Kogyoku - which means "bamboo grove treasure," is Monden's artistic name, given to him when he was 21.

Feather Paintings.

We have seen 'Paintings on Leaves' & now we have paintings on feathers for you. Here we have some amazing paintings created using 'feather' as canvas. Though we don't know much about the technique involved in creating these amazing paintings, but we do know this: its much different from other types of painting. There is very limited painting area & apart from this the surface of the feather isn't easy to paint on & some artists use acrylic & some use oils.
These feather paintings are something exclusive & has their own charm in each of them.

Ketchup Art.

Want to give a try being a ketchup artist? All you need is ketchup & plates as canvas & a little touch of creativity. And the best part of it is you can create it at restaurants while waiting or if you didn't like the food served. Perhaps this is something really cool, you can play with the food & eat it too.
What are you waiting for? Take your ketchup & get creative.
