Simplicity to Complexity-Form Studies.

Simplicity to Complexity-Form Studies.

Rachel Gottlieb's 'Simplicity to Complexity-Form Studies' proves that its possible to create complex systems from simple forms. All based on the grid; repeated wood forms are joined with elastic to create fluid forms from rigid lines. Interaction with the objects creates further complexity as each user can redefine the object's meaning.
Rachel completed her Master's Degree in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design in June 2007. She is interested in both toy and exhibition design and currently lives in Providence, Rhode Island, teaching painting lessons and working for the Brown University.
