Weekend House Alley.

Weekend Alley House, a multi-purpose commercial space on the waterfront in Kamakura was recently completed by Architect Chiba Manabu. A feeling of openness is created by dividing the structure into 7 different buildings that are consistent with the ocean around it. It seems to be fully populated with shops, restaurants, cafes and even a hair salon. It looks like each passageway has its own pair of binoculars, highlighting a unique view of the ocean depending on which way you turn. And what makes it more special is when standing in the center it almost reminds one of a compass.
