The Floating Stairs.

The Floating Stairs.

What really got our attention here is the stairs, the floating stairs. Florence architect Guido Ciompi is the man responsible for the design project and has created an exclusive atmosphere with stylish spaces at The Gray Hotel, one of the most important 5 star hotels in Milan, Italy. The hotel is hidden away in a five-story building that used to house residences and businesses, a perfect location, tucked amidst all Milan's landmarks, the fashionable shopping streets and the financial district.
Ciompi's work also included a light installation that bathes the walls, top to toe drapes and the lobby's black flagstones in an ever-changing number of colors and creates an exclusive atmosphere with stylish spaces characterized by soft tones of beige, orange and red. Guests will be surprised by the refined and sophisticated interiors, furnished in an elegant contemporary style.
Each of the 21 guestrooms in Milan's most closely guarded secret provides its guests completely unique interiors. The 21 rooms, all individually designed, vary from the regular queen size to bi-level solutions with private gym or steam room. Rooms are all equipped with the latest in communication and audiovisual facilities, including High Speed wireless internet connectivity, laptop computers, CD and DVD players and LCD flat screen televisions.
The restaurant combines modern setting and Mediterranean food.
