Grafton Crescent: The Extension Of A House.

Grafton Crescent: The Extension Of A House.

Grafton Crescent, a project to extend a house in Camden, London is just completed by Richard Shaw at the Crawford Partnership. The client required some extra space and this project includes replacing an existing small lean-to rear extension with a new glass extension at ground floor, and a new timber and glass addition accessed off the existing stair's half-landing. The height of the new rear extension is about 1m lesser than before, the walls of the small garden have been extended and the small rear garden was also excavated to match. Thus the design achieves an open kitchen/dining area on the ground floor, and the first floor extension can be used as a home office, play room and guest bedroom.
