Curtain Wall House.

Curtain Wall House.

Curtain Wall House by Japanese architect ShigeruBan is the house intended to be a reflection of the owner's lifestyle. It's located in a dense neighborhood of Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, and was completed in July 1995. The house is a combination of new and old with simplicity and use of the contemporary materials keeping in view the Japanese styles. Terrace on the first floor divided the living area on the east and south sides, creating an outdoor space that acts as a filter between the interiors of the building and the street and tent-like curtains are on the outer facade between the second and third floors. In winter the outside glass doors and the curtains can be closed completely giving the house needed good insulation and privacy.
