Montjuic's Fountain.

Montjuic's Fountain.

Barcelona's Fountain built in 1929 for the Barcelona World's Fair, first performed during the Great Universal Exhibition. It's located at the foot of the steps up to the Museum of Catalan Art (Museo National del Arte de Catalunya) on Montjuic Mountain. It took 3000 workers, & nearly a year to complete this wonderful marvel. After many years of disuse it was restored for the 1992 Olympic Games & this little known attraction has been the center of attraction ever since for the visitors. Its a series of smaller fountains that begin at the door to the Palau Nacional, home to the Museum of Catalan Art, that cascades & flows down the various levels that lead to Plaza Espanya. And all one needs to do is to find the way to central fountain & the Museum of Catalan Art is to follow the water. The combination of light, music, color & water acrobatics looks awesome. A must see if you ever plan to visit Barcelona (Spain).
