The World's Biggest Hole.

The world's biggest hole is located in Mirny, Eastern Siberia, Russia. "Winter temperatures in Mirny, a town just below the Arctic Circle, average -40 Celsius. The town was founded in 1955 when geologists came to check the area's substantial mineral wealth. Consequently, Mirny's defining feature is a 1 1/2 km wide, 500 m deep hole, which is the now unused diamond mine. The town is strictly off limits to outsiders without a special permit".


This truck loader is one of the biggest in the world - length 13.36 meters, width 7.78 meters & height 6.65 meters.

The suction above the hole resulted in several helicopter going down, so no flights are allowed above the hole now.
