Increase your wireless router signal strength with just a few, & easy to find materials such as cardboard, glue and wire mesh.
Though it doesn't look too great but if it works (and we assume it does) then your need for a signal boost & expensive add-on antennas will be taken care off. Any way we are here for its utility & not its looks. It's worthy of a try.
